SYKY Ushers in a Mixed Realities Era for Luxury Fashion Showcasing KWK and Taskin Geoc at London Fashion Week

LONDON – February 16, 2024 – This February, luxury fashion platform SYKY will be introducing the works of two exceptional designers: KWK, a globally-known celebrity designer and Berlin-based designer Taskin Goec from the SYKY Collective. In an unprecedented drop, KWK will be producing physical and digital versions of his iconic designs previously created for Beyoncé, Björk, and Karol G, which will be available for purchase exclusively through SYKY. With this launch, SYKY continues to be on the forefront of physical and digital fashion; demonstrating the promise of a mixed-reality future.

To mark the occasion, SYKY will be partnering with the British Fashion Council for the second consecutive year to co-host ‘Worlds Collide’ on February 16, 2024. Building on last year’s successful LFW debut, this year’s showcase is a representation of SYKY’s forward-thinking vision for the future of fashion: a harmonious blend of mixed realities. Works from Taskin Goec and KWK will be on display, both in physical and digital formats.

“The most exciting fashion brands of the moment are creating for the future of fashion, mixing physical with digital and augmented realities,” says Alice Delahunt, Founder and CEO of SYKY. “I’m proud to say that SYKY is at the forefront of this movement. This fashion week, we are showcasing KWK, Taskin Goec and the SYKY Collective, brands that beautifully demonstrate the boundless creativity afforded by mixed-reality design. Consumers can support these visionaries by purchasing both physical and digital versions of garments, which can then be translated into whichever world or reality they wish. At SYKY, we believe that centering creativity makes emerging technologies more inclusive, accessible and ultimately exciting.”

Fashion’s Multidimensional Ecosystem

The future of fashion is SYKY.com. The platform offers global digital and traditional designers the ability to showcase their work alongside established designers, creating a rich multi-dimensional ecosystem for discovery, curation, trade and self-expression. Through KWK & Taskin Goec’s collection launches, the industry can get a taste of SYKY’s standard for retail and fashion with innovative designs that illustrate the power of digital fashion.

Following SYKY’s appointment of Nicola Formichetti as Artistic Director, the creative visionary is working closely in tandem with Delahunt, bringing valuable industry insights and validations that amplify the creative visions of the designers showcasing their digital fashion collections. Formichetti has previously worked with both Taskin and KWK, making this year’s showcase a welcome reunion.

“Fashion is all about being daring and innovating. At SYKY, we are spearheading this next level of self-expression through digital and augmented realities, partnering with trailblazers in this space and providing a platform for them to grow. The work itself sets SYKY apart; these pieces blur the lines of art and luxury fashion. I can’t wait for the world to witness the apotheosis of digital fashion with SYKY at ‘Worlds Collide’,’’ says Nicola Formichetti, Artistic Director of SYKY.

Collections showcased at London Fashion Week will be sold exclusively on SYKY.com, available for purchase in crypto and fiat currency (USD). KWK’s exclusive drop marks the beginning of ‘SYKY Drops’, a series of monthly releases of digital and physical pieces, held on the first Friday of every month.
