Bureau 555 proudly hosted its first-ever ‘Digital Showcase Open Studio’ on November 6th at their offices in Gulshan-2, Dhaka , a groundbreaking event that brought together esteemed companies at the forefront of technology research and investment.
The event highlighted cutting-edge technological advancements being used by Bureau 555 and their implications for a sustainable future. There was a focus on executives, 3D innovators, and industry leaders who are innovating within the supply chain and the event offered them the opportunity to connect, share insights, and discuss best practices that are currently driving the digital product creation (DPC) developments in the supply chain.
Bureau 555 showcased fabric scanning and testing leading to digital fabric creation, and previewed our soon to be released digital fabric library. We also gave attendees the opportunity to experience fabric draping in VR using the Oculus Quest 2.
We extend our sincerest gratitude to the companies Beximco Textiles Ltd, Centro Tex Limited, Talisman/FCI Group, METRO KNITTING AND DYEING MILLS LTD/ Panam group, Otto International, Urmi Group, GBC Bangladesh and Standard Group for their participation and invaluable insight to the success of the event. Co-Founder Gabrielle Shiner-Hill commented after the event: “Our event shows that key manufacturers understand that digital product development is at the heart of making design and product development more efficient adding value to their business operations and their portfolio of customers.
The return on investment has been proven and now the focus is on the creation of digital twins and the quality of digital materials. The next step is to link digital workflows with the era defining work around circularity, impact and traceability that Bangladesh is undertaking. I welcome further conversations with leaders in this area.”
