Across industries, detailed metrics on the way artificial intelligence (especially generative AI) is being thought-about, scoped, deployed, used, and received are hard to come by. Within fashion and beauty, those indicators are even tougher to find.

This year, as part of our third deep-dive report into AI for fashion, The Interline is working to close that gap with a brand-new survey, open from today.

As well as our signature mix of editorial, brand case studies, technology profiles and executive interviews, The AI Report 2026 will contain a detailed analysis of the first objective, industry-specific, survey of how fashion professionals feel about AI, how they use it, and how organisations are approaching the hottest, and potentially most contentious, technology transformation project of our time.

From today until the end of May, our readers can provide their perspectives – anonymously – by completing our survey. In return for 5-7 minutes of their time, brands, retailers, and suppliers can help us document, understand, and report on AI in a way that’s industry-focused, unbiased, and that can help steer both the technology roadmap and the cultural conversation in a more productive direction.

The survey can be finished in multiple sittings, for anyone short on time, and has been designed to align with what fashion professionals are already telling us – informally – about their priorities, concerns, and approaches to AI.
